My Bio
I'm a first year VCU Arts student with an ever increasing interest in sculpture, painting, photography, and mixed-media. I like to spend a lot of time contemplating different facets of life that affect who we are. For example...how do corruption and purity vary and lead us in life? I'm not a huge fan of sports, but walking through nature has always been a source of inspiration, which you would probably be able to tell by my art. I see life as a blank canvas waiting to be filled, a photograph to be shot, a sculpture to be formed. I'm always ready for a new challenge. Experimentation and problem solving are, after all, essential to creative development. Outside of the arts, most people would probably say I have somewhat of an eclectic taste. From experiencing various types of arts, media, literature, etc... my art can become more enriched and meaningful. I am ready for new opportunities, challenges, and inspirations. Bring it on, life.

Crumbling Rose

Last week in Surface Research my class was assigned a project on Dadaism. We were to make a Dadaist Poem. Here are the instructions: Date assigned: Jan 19th Due: Jan 26th —— "To make a Dadaist Poem," Tristan Tzara, 1920 Take a newspaper. Take a pair of scissors. Choose an article as long as the poem you are planning to make. Cut out the article. Then cut out each of the words that make up this article and put them in a bag. Shake it gently. Then take out the scraps one after the other in the order in which they come out of the bag. Paste onto bristol paper conscientiously. The poem will be like you. And here you are

Stress

0 min read
Normally when I have those quiet moments I don't find myself quite as inspired as I would like. However, as soon as I have bundles upon bundles of stress piled on top of me, what happens? The little flare in the lightbulb turns into an explosion of color. I wish that could happen without me dying from an early heart attack.
